Real Girls F.A.R.T. Founder, Achea Redd, Set to Release New Book “Be Free. Be You.” This Summer

Ready for something BIG? Achea’s new book "Be Free. Be You." is hitting the shelves this summer! Achea has spent the past couple of years researching and writing a book specifically about her journey to becoming authentically her—and how you can do the same, too.

In her book, Achea addresses the common problem of relationships with women, its connection to self-love and how you can work on accepting Y-O-U for who you are:

Nothing will impede our connections with other women quicker than the feeling of unworthiness and self-hatred. Although this may sound like common sense, it’s also a common problem within the female community. It’s very difficult to present yourself authentically when you don’t like, love, or value yourself or when you don’t feel worthy of love because you’re ashamed of who you are. The justification for not reaching out to connect becomes all too commonplace. We will find ourselves facing the mirror with our eyes tightly shut, telling ourselves that we are too ugly and broken to look at. This practice will either give way to complete avoidance of developing new relationships or the avoidance of getting to know one self’s true identity.

Filled with powerful opinions, activities and journal questions, Achea also tells personal, vulnerable stories about “fitting in” versus “belonging”:

A few years ago, I was lonely and isolated, but now I’m in a place where I’m choosing solitude and am no longer lonely. Before, I didn’t know myself, and I didn’t know that I was an introvert. I thought that meant something negative. I was really busy trying to fit in and to be extroverted. You should never try to fit in. You should belong. Fitting is trying to change who you are to conform to your surroundings and expectations. But belonging is saying, 'I am who I am, and that’s the only person I can be.' Regardless of what shape you are, you belong.

“Be Free. Be You.” will be available for pre-order this April, 2019. A huge thank you to the RGF community, who has been reading Achea’s blog posts, giving her honest feedback, encouragement and inspiration. It’s her hope this book will be a continuation of the same type of conversation we’ve started on the platform.
