Summit On Eating Disorders

The Alliance for Eating Disorders and Mental Health Coalition were honored to host the second-annual summit on eating disorders at the United Nations in honor of World Eating Disorders Action Day™ 2024.

We also extend immense gratitude to all the attendees, including representatives from national mental health organizations, individuals with lived experience, policymakers, and more, who joined us for important conversations highlighting the various challenges and obstacles impeding access to care for individuals experiencing eating disorders and other mental health conditions.

Approximately 29 million Americans currently experiencing an eating disorder, and more than 70% of those individuals will never gain access to the help, care, and support they deserve. When it comes to mental health, eating disorders must be part of that conversation. Together, we can help pave the way for change.
